Proven step-by-step method for preparing a great speech.

Give the Speech Of Your Life will guide you through the process that makes it easy to create great speeches.

Got an important presentation coming up and you want to make sure you succeed? Read on.

Maybe it's a quarterly presentation for your division. A keynote you'll be giving at a conference. Or perhaps your friend is having a big anniversary and they asked you to speak at the party.

These are important occasions, and of course, you want to succeed.

But perhaps you procrastinate. You tend to come up with excuses, instead of just preparing the speech. Suddenly it's the last night before your big day, and you still haven't prepared properly.

You don't want to end up there. But poor preparation is super common.

Why?

In my experience, it boils down to your inner psychology.

Take a look inside. Do you feel 100% confident in your presentations? When preparing, can you claim you never feel doubt or uncertainty?

Most people would answer "no".

  • Perhaps deep down, you don't think you belong to the stage. You feel like you don't have anything worthwhile to say.
  • Deep down, you might feel anxious and insecure of your speaking.

Or maybe you already are confident that you can deliver a captivating presentation, but preparing it still takes a lot of your time and effort. You are not 100% confident with the way you prepare.

No matter where you come from, the result is that your presentation will not be as good as you hoped. Moreover, it's a big hassle to prepare and it stresses you out like crazy.

It’s normal to have self-doubt. But when you have something valuable to say, you deserve to be heard.

Getting good at public speaking is easier than you think.

With a little bit of the right knowledge, coupled with some practice, you can easily elevate yourself to the top 5% of presenters (and nail that presentation while you're at it).

As Susan Cain, formerly terrified of public speaking but now an internationally acclaimed TED speaker has said:

“There's something weird about public speaking, where it has such disproportionate value to what you're investing in it… You know, you're going up onstage for 18 minutes, 14 minutes, or whatever… or maybe even within your own workplace, even giving a 2-minute talk, suddenly everyone is regarding you as a leader, and as someone who they can turn to in a new way from if you hadn't been willing to put yourself forward in that way.”

Hi, my name is Miika Karppinen

I want to help you succeed.

I’m Miika Karppinen. I’m a speaker, public speaking coach and adventurer. I’ve trained TEDx speakers, Speakersforum keynote speakers, top-level executives and young professionals alike. I've coordinated Finland's most ambitious speaker accelerator, Talk The Talk. I've hosted the livestream of the world's leading startup event, Slush, with 30 000 viewers. I know what it's like to speak in front of thousands.

However, as a youngster, I was terrified of public speaking. I had to use beta blockers just to be able to play the guitar in my school’s spring matinee. What a horror. My palms would get so sweaty I could barely play. Performing in front of people was the most horrible thing I knew.

You can become a great speaker.

Now, with years of experience as a speaker, coach, and former stage fright wreck, I've seen that ANYONE can become a public speaker.

You don’t need to have a bubbly personality, an extroverted outlook or natural charisma. You just need yourself, coupled with the needed knowledge about speaking and some practice.

If you are serious about developing your speaking skills, getting in control of your stage fright, and want to develop into a kind of person others look up to, I can help you.

Public speaking will improve almost everything you do.

If you could confidently get on the stage and persuade your audience of your ideas, how would your career take off? If you were regarded as a leader, what kinds of opportunities would your supervisor channel your way? How much more sales would you make?

For most professionals, the difference can easily mean tens of thousands of euros in increased sales and/or salary every year. If you're in a leadership position, you might see a significant spike up in your subordinates' motivation, attitudes, and results.

Besides the obvious money and status that public speaking will help you attain, there are more subtle benefits as well.

If you could feel confident enough to be able to get on stage and say what needs to be said, what would that mean to you? To stand up at your best friend’s wedding, and tell them how much you value them? To stand up at a dinner table with people you don’t know, and improvise a toast that breaks the ice and makes everyone want to get to know you better?

Public speaking can cause an invaluable change in your inner psychology. It can change your perception of yourself, so that you become the kind of person others look up to. It's exactly what happened to me, and it can do the same to you.

But maybe you are afraid of the stage. Perhaps just the idea of going up there makes your heart pound and your palms sweaty. Maybe you feel like you just don't have the "public speaking gene".

I understand. It's normal to be afraid of the stage. And it's very common. In fact, I've been there myself.

That's why I created How To Give The Speech Of Your Life.

How To Give the Speech Of Your Life will guide you through the same process I have learned to use in every speech I give, from short sales pitches to keynotes on large stages.

You can use it to...

  • become more confident on the stage
  • shorten your preparation time
  • get in charge of your stage fright
  • make presenting more fun
  • get more praise on your presentations
  • increase your results, no matter the field
  • boost your leadership
  • gain status in the workplace
  • make more sales
  • persuade your listeners to accept your point of view
  • become more persuasive
  • become the kind of person others look up to

The process has been proven to work across fields and levels - from startup entrepreneurship to IT & tech, from young professionals to corporate executives.

"Through my work, I often give presentations about what we do in our incubator program, and what we offer students. And tbh the old presentation was static, and boring. So using your framework has really given me a new and more engaging way to present it!"

My main problem is nervousness. Will this program help?

Absolutely. One of the main causes of nervousness is the feeling of being underprepared. How To Give The Speech Of Your Life will get you prepared with engaging content. This will significantly reduce your nervousness.

Will this work for academic presentations?

Absolutely. You may find that your presentation stands out – in a good way.

I'm not sure if this presentation is worth spending the money.

If there are superiors or potential clients in the audience, a great presentation can result in greater revenue or income. On the other side, it can prevent you coming across as disorganized and incompetent.

In any case, understand that you will be learning a design system that you can use for every presentation you ever give after this one. If you save an hour or two of preparation time from now on and increase the effectiveness of your every future presentation even just a little, a little math reveals that over the course of your professional life, the value could be up in the hundreds of thousands of euros/dollars, or even more, in the form of promotions and better clients.

There's a lot of free stuff on the internet. Why would I pay to do your program?

Give The Speech Of Your Life will give you a shortcut to mastering presentations. It's a complete system that you can trust.

The advice on the internet is just small snippets of advice – often contradictory. Sure, if you dug deeper, read all the books, watched all the youtube vids, dove deep into the blogs, you would come up with something useful. But that can easily take you years of browsing. I'm guessing you have better things to do than getting lost in YouTube's video recommendation rabbit holes again and again.

I'd like my employer to pay. Can you invoice them?

Sorry, I'm only able to accept credit cards at this time. The best method is for you to pay with your own credit card and claim the expense back from your employer.

I'd like to purchase this course for my organization. Do you offer packages for that?

Sure thing. Just drop me a line at [email protected] and let's make it happen.

I don’t have time to learn public speaking.

You will always find time for the things you prioritize. For example, if your child gets sick, you will always find the time to take him/her to the hospital - no matter if you were doing 80-hour workweeks. The point is, if you make it a priority you will find the time.

Life can feel hectic at times. But there’s always something you can do. Skip watching Netflix for one night of the week. Delegate a task at work that doesn’t necessarily need your input. Use your commute to study. Ask your supervisor for an hour of learning time every Friday. Don’t fall into the victim mentality. You are in control of your time.

If you check the details, assess your priorities, and decide the course is not for you, I'm good with that.

I see that you’re from Finland. Will the content work in other countries?

Absolutely. The principles of excellent public speaking are universal across Western countries (and similar in other cultures, too). I’ve spoken to audiences in countries as different as Germany & Mexico. The same principles apply.
